Day trek to Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary
Watch & observe in their natural environment animlas & birds like Flying Squirrel, Slender Loris, Indian Pangolin, Mouse Deer, Four-horned Antelope, Malabar Pit Viper, Hump-Nosed Pit Viper, White-bellied Woodpecker, Malabar Trogon, Velvet-fronted Nuthatch, Heart-spotted Woodpecker, Speckled Piculet, Malayan Bittern, Draco or Flying Lizard, Golden-back Gliding Snake and Malabar Tree Toad.
Tentative Schedule
8.00 to 8.30 am Pickup at Mapusa
9.30 am Pickup from Margao
1.30 to 11.00 am Arrive at Cotigao – Brief by Sanctuary incharge, visit NIC Zoo-park
12.00 pm trek to Tree top watch tower – Lunch at treetop
2.00 pm Dip in Astagal water body, followed by trek to Tulsimol waterhole and watch tower and rescued snake release
4.00 pm tea at Hatipaul
4.15 pm leave sanctuary
5.30 pm Reach Margao
6.30 pm Reach Panaji
7.00 pm Reach your hotel
Participant guidelines
Guests must carry :
Good footwear, change of clothes, medicines-if you use any, towel, cap., water bottles, choclates, camera ( Camera fee in sanctuary Rs25/-)
Minimum Group : 8 persons
