The festival is held in the month of February. Every year, private houses of the venue turn into art galleries for eight days. Art works of renowned artists are showcased in heritage houses of salas, balcaos, verandahs, and dining rooms. Thousands of people visit the Fountainhas Festival from India and abroad. Besides the art works, dancers and musicians enliven the festival by their live performances. Fontainhas Festival provides an unprecedented opportunity for interaction of artists, visitors and homeowners.

When we married and moved to Muriel's home town of Goa, we re-discovered every nook and corner of Goa, from the winding roads to the beach with swaying palms, to the green paddy fields and off-beaten tracks in the surrounding hills.
